TRANSFERING CLUBS INFORMATION

For anyone interested in transferring to or from Carrick-on-Shannon Athletic Club, please note that there are two transfer portals in April and September and that all athletes must be fully registered before a transfer can go through.

The following information was issued by Athletics Ireland:

May 2023 Transfers 

From Athletes perspective 

• Athletes must be registered before they apply to transfer
• They can access the transfer portal through their Manage My Membership https://membership.athleticsireland.ie/index.html 
• Athletes can initiate their transfer from March 1, until March 20
• All transfers must be applied for by March 20
• Athletes will need to register their Athletics Ireland membership before the “Create Transfer” button will appear in the Manage My Membership. 

From Clubs perspective

• When athletes initiate transfer, clubs will receive notification in the Club Profile to say there is transfers pending approval
• Clubs will have access to the transfers from March 1, to March 23
• All transfers must be approved by March 23rd as they need to be with the County Board seven days before the transfer window opens
• Club official will login and either “Approve” or “Decline” transfer

From County Boards perspective 

• County secretaries will log into their county profiles through the Athletics Ireland membership system
• From April 1, to April 30, county boards will have access to “Approve” or “Decline” transfers. 

All transfers go live on May 1.
